Are you new to Yoga and need help to get started?
Are you too busy to attend a scheduled class?
Are you easily distracted in a group class? Are you feeling the need for individualized attention to complement your group classes?
Are you someone who is seeing a counsellor for stress or anxiety and want to complement your counselling with private Yoga lessons?
These lessons may focus on restorative Yoga postures, breathing, guided relaxation or meditation, and quieting the mind.)
If so, you may be someone who can benefit from my in-home private personalized lessons……
Private Yoga instruction allows the student a greater understanding of how their body should move. There are endless rewards from a regular Yoga practice that help improve your mind, body and spirit, and this progress can be seen from head to toe.
Never mistake knowledge for wisdom.
One helps you make a living.
The other helps you make a life.
Private sessions are a unique opportunity for you to explore your interests and enhance your practice with the intimacy of personal attention. They are great if you are a beginner who wants to be introduced to Yoga without the intimidation of a group setting or if you have already experience and want a deeper understanding and enhancement of your personal practice.
Take advantage of the undivided attention, support, encouragement, and guidance. Whether you are looking to refine or modify your practice, for extra motivation, insights into your practice, or for help with an injury. Working one-on-one will make the vital difference to ensure that your fitness program will effect a dramatic change and will lead to the achievement of your individual fitness goals. Private sessions will help you gain maximum benefit from the time you spend practicing Yoga by improving your technique, increasing your motivation, introducing variety and helping you focus on your potential to attain the level of health, fitness and vitality you aim for.
Large public yoga classes may not be for everyone. Whether you are a stay-at-home mum, a shy beginner or you just simply have no time or desire to travel to a Yoga studio; a private session is great solution! In a private yoga session you will receive one-to-one attention. Your teacher will help you move through each Yoga Asana (posture) and adjust your posture if needed.
Maybe you’ve never tried yoga and want to give it a whirl. Or possibly you’ve gone to classes full of people who all seem to know what they are doing – yet you feel out of place because you can barely touch your toes.
Or perhaps you have taken a few classes and are looking for hands-on guidance. The basic moves make sense, but you are wondering if you really have the form lined up correctly or if you are missing out on something.
Or you may be an experienced Yogi. You are comfortable in your practice and want expert advice and guidance to catapult you to another level.
If you fit any of these descriptions, you have come to the right place.
This program will help you set goals and reach them. As part of this program I will:
• Educate you in the areas of proper Yoga alignment
• Provide strength training
• Introduce meditation practices
• Instruct in breathing techniques
• Build cardiovascular endurance
The entirety of the eight classic limbs of Yoga is available to you – with a strong, kind hand leading the way.
My philosophy is to promote the benefits of Yoga to all who are interested in attaining a better
Physical and mental well-being in a personal and friendly environment. Yoga is a personal journey, therefore it’s important that you enjoy your practice and feel completely comfortable.
Personalized Yoga lessons will allow you to receive the undivided attention of the instructor, are the most effective form of Yoga, and the quickest way to reach your goals. For centuries Yoga was not taught in group classes, but as a one-on-one practice. You may receive more benefits from your weekly group Yoga class as you learn the nuances of different poses. Students often seek private Yoga lessons to complement programs given to them by other wellness professionals.
Some students prefer the ease of working privately on a regular basis. You can set up a weekly time-slot, which gives you the flexibility to choose a class time and enjoy the comfort of Yoga in your own home. Yoga practice with me ensures that you are gently guided in the right direction for your particular needs, that you work towards goals that suit your body and your temperament, and that you maximize your own personal growth.
It can be more fun to practice with other people as well. Each class contains a little chanting, Pranayama (breathing exercises), asanas (yoga positions), relaxation and meditation.
Friends or family members may make you feel comfortable when practicing, and you may share the cost of the class.
As part of my one to one range I offer Child/Teen and Parent Yoga classes as well, which can help you bond and grow as a healthy and happy family.

‘Deep in their roots all flowers keep their light‘
Praise and blame, gain and loss, pleasure and sorrow come and go like the wind.
To be happy, rest like a giant tree in the midst of them all.
“The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven.”
Yoga is a journey of the self, through the self, to the self.
~ Bhagavad Gita
“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it, or because it is spoken and rumored by many.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books or merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.
Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations.
But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”
~ The Buddha, from the Kālāma Sūtra
“The study of Yoga Asana is not about mastering the posture. It’s about using the posture to understand and transform yourself.”
